New Kid on the block; you mght have noticed her in The Social Network and more currently The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo.

She is a breath of fresh air on the red carpet with her minimalistic/goth/vintage/parisienne style.

I've been neglecting you

A true fashionista is one whom embraces each season of fashion, who runs their laquered nails over all kinds of fabrics; from soft velvet to light cotton. She is as chiq in Winter as she is in Summer, Autumn and Spring.

Sadly...I have been a very dull fashionista. Flat shoes for two months now!, track pants and hoodies have taken over and all my dresses have been put into a black container (a few containers) that loom over me like a tower. The containers which are aptly black remind me of caskets of the once passionate way I used to dress and now I have laid my lace skirts, halter dresses, grecian frocks to rest.

But it will not be so!, Im gonna make this Winter work for me. I think I shall start with a trip to London and hit the Winter sales...

On my hitlist...

A blazer is essential, must fit and curve with the body like it was tailored just for you, so you might need to try a few on. I am enjoying the play on fabric in the second picture by using lace. Seems quite formal but a nice change from the regular. Dressed down with jeans; my eyes are eagle eyeing this one out.
Cream or black will be stunning.
Frail bow frock; I have tried this one and it is so cute, paired
with nude peep toes and wavy hair.

I am in Love with this dress, something very classic yet depressing about it. I can see Angelina Jolie pulling this off without a hitch. A bit of a tortured soul needs to wear this one

Loving this trouser; I wouldnt pair it with knitwear unless it was a finer gauge. Colour and cutlines are magnificent

THE ESSENTAIL:

The Messenger handbag, found this one at Zara

This assymetrical skirt seems to be trending, I was never a fan of the hankerchief style that came and in some cases never left, but this assymetric cutline is romantic if it is made in the correct lightweight fabric like a chiffon; I also feel its
important to be in a ditzy print or moody floral.

MY CHRISTMAS WISH for 2011....A TED BAKER PURSE

Saw this patent black purse at the airport and I had to walk away with a heart sore, but maybe some little giving elf will pop it under my pillow on Christmas day, preferrable black or turq

For fashions snake

The reptile look has often reared its python like head onto the fashion scene. Before you fork out ridiculous ammouts for that snake purse; did you ever stp to think that like many other creatures; snakes too are killed in inhumane ways for the sake of fashion.

Many of us have an intense fear of such slithering creatures, but truth be told, whether you like the creature or not, it is not right for any creature to suffer for the sake of that "hot" purse or that must have snakeskin tote bag.

The high demand for snakeskin by top fashion houses has put pressure on the south east Asia market and inhumane, selfish barbaric slaughtering are taking place to feed the intensified demand. Snakes are purely bred to be stripped of their skin while still alive or have their heads hammered to a pulp.

"Are you ready for this season's style story? Just say yesssssssssssssssssssss. Snake is in. Effective immediately.
It's showing up in every possible accessory from bags to gloves to key chains and sunglasses. There are snake prints on dresses and underwear, bangles, hosiery and scarves.
Best news: It doesn't have to cost a lot for you to rock a reptile.
Many high-end fashion houses are showing their own luxe versions of snake this season: Valentino, Prada, Chloe, Dries Van Noten and others. But fabulous fakes abound in leather and pleather, and often it's hard to tell the difference between a $350 belt and one that costs $35.
"Reptile always looks sophisticated," says Gregg Andrews, a national fashion director for Nordstrom."

If you are a true fashionista, ditch the real and support the fake (looks just like the real thing) don't be a bubble head shopper and ignore the facts and don't support such cruelty, you might be holding a purse but the blood will be on your hands

sienna's style: effortless/rustled up/boho dream

I have always admired the effortless put together look of Sienna, she is a girl in touch with her soul and knows just how to dress.

Want this look for Summer: all you need is a pair of worn ankle boots, a summer frock, big felt hat and a low hanging pendant to finish the look off.
Hair; must be shiny clean.tousled and free. my best advise is sleep with your hair tied messily in a bun on top of your head, let it loose in the morn and tousle with water

Having said that; I love taking inspiration from others and what would the fashion world be if we didn't, but the trick to remember is to not lose oneself in the process.

Awesome fashion pics from Copenhagen

Wear it pretty

Could you see me, without seeing her? Was she clear and I was just a blur? Did it make sense to see me and smile, was it my red ribboned bow that gave you a feeling inside? Did you look at me and think i was pretty in yellow, want to hold my hand as we walked through the shadows, would I light up the dark in your world with the colour I wore or would you just walk past me on that French cafe floor? Would my eyes be as convincing from the start or dull?; or did it help that my black mascara made them stand out. If I bared it all and stood as I am, would a conversation with me be your next plan?
